I'm wearing RED!

   This Eid I'll be wearing red, to show not only my celebration of this day, and not only to appreciate the beauty of the color, I mean it is my least favorite color but i love red flowers and roses...

I love it when the sky turns red at twilight with the help of the sun and clouds...

and the beauty of autumn with the dead leaves some red some orange and others yellow...

But what I don't like about the color red is that it reminds me of death, of the pictures I see everyday on the news, pictures of brave and heroes that we call Peshmarga,

it reminds me of one of the colors in our Kurdish flag that represents and honors the blood shed of our brave Kurdish brothers and fathers and sons that fought for the sake of a better life for us...

I'm quite sure that this is not what they had in mind but they do inspire us to move forward and keep fighting literally and figuratively, I am a Peshmarga not because I want to fight but because I will fight the real issue like poverty, lack of education and knowledge, I will protect my country while I'm wearing red...
