What I came back to...

I was away from my home for the past 5 weeks, I was aware of the situation and most of what was happening through social media and contacting my family, but it is different when you are a part of it.

When I got home on August 4th 03:00am Erbil (Hawler )seemed safe and sound, yesterday after dinner I was on my computer and my mom was planing to sleep when she got a phone call from my sister saying that people are leaving the city, that things are not as safe as they seem, I ran to turn the T.V on while opening Facebook and twitter to see what is going on, I saw photos of the roads around the city filled with people running away from their own city, I saw others encouraging each other to stay, to stand our ground, I saw photos of peshmarga fighting for us, protecting us, risking their lives for us...

and I wanna do my part, I want to put the truth out there, even though Facebook and twitter is stopped by the government that won't stop me/us to have our voice heard through the internet...

I won't let anyone ruin my city and my country
